DDTR Laser Tag Equipment – Basic Setup & Operation Guide
The first training video walks operators through the essential steps to set up and start using DDTR laser tag equipment quickly and efficiently.
Powering On the Equipment
All laser tag units power on in standby mode, ready and waiting for the referee to initiate gameplay.
Using the Radio Repeater
If your system includes a radio repeater, position it in the center of the playing arena. This ensures strong, reliable communication between all laser tag units and improves overall game performance.
Troubleshooting Player Taggers
If a player’s laser tagger does not start at the beginning of the game, simply rebroadcast the start command. This action will only activate units that have not yet started, without interrupting active players.

DDTR Laser Tag Equipment – Gun Configurations Explained
What Are Configurations?
Configurations (Configs) are pre-set game profiles stored inside each DDTR laser tag gun.
Each gun can store 5 different presets, allowing operators to quickly switch between different game styles, environments, and player types.
This makes game setup fast, simple, and professional — perfect for laser tag arenas, mobile operators, indoor venues, and outdoor fields.
What Can Be Configured?
Each configuration allows you to customise the following settings:
1. Weapon Type
Select the type of weapon the player will use (e.g., rifle, pistol, sniper).
Each weapon can have different performance characteristics.
2. Team Selection
Assign players to a specific team (Red, Blue.) for team-based missions and competitive gameplay.
3. Lives
Set how many lives each player receives per game.
Ideal for beginner, advanced, or tournament-style gameplay.
4. Reloads (Magazines)
Control how many magazines or reloads each player has.
Perfect for creating realistic combat simulations or fast-paced arcade-style games.
5. Hardcore Mode (On / Off)
Hardcore ON – Realistic combat sounds and effects.
Hardcore OFF – Child-friendly sounds and visual effects.
This allows operators to easily switch between family-friendly events and advanced tactical gameplay.
6. Range Settings
Adjust the laser range depending on your venue:
Long Range – Best for outdoor laser tag fields
Medium Range – Ideal for mixed setups (e.g., rifle long range, pistol medium range)
Indoor Mode – Perfect for enclosed venues such as basketball courts, indoor arenas, and warehouses
This ensures optimal accuracy and game balance in every environment.
7. Field Settings (Field 1, 2, 3 & 4)
The Field setting determines the radio frequency used by the equipment.
?? Important: Always use Field 1 unless running multiple games at the same time.
When Should You Change the Field?
If you have enough laser tag guns to operate multiple games simultaneously, you can assign:
Field 1, Field 2, Field 3 or Field 4
This prevents signal interference and allows you to control each game independently without affecting other sessions.
Why DDTR Configurations Matter
DDTR Laser Tag Configurations give operators:
Fast game setup
Flexible gameplay control
Multi-field capability
Indoor & outdoor adaptability
Family-friendly and hardcore options
Professional tournament control
Whether you operate a permanent laser tag arena, mobile laser tag business, or outdoor combat field, DDTR’s configuration system ensures maximum flexibility and efficiency.
